Abstract
With the continuous development of society and the reform of basic education, the current society attaches more importance to teachers’ professional quality. Teaching practice is a key part of the whole pre-service education, which functions as an important bridge for pre-service teachers to grow into very professional teachers. So, paying more attention to this period is essential to improve the quality of pedagogical education. Based on the current background, this paper mainly analyzes the influence teaching practice has on the professional development of pre-service English teachers, finding that the teaching practice plays an irreplaceable role on the improvement of the professional ability, the consolidation of the professional knowledge and the formation of professional thought. Meanwhile, based on some previous studies and the internship experiences some pre-service English teachers had, this paper generalizes and summarizes some problems existing in the current teaching practice system, and makes a preliminary analysis.
