ABSTRACT
Madam Bovary and Jane Eyre are all classic novels in the Western literature. This essay mainly studies two different women images of male and female writers from the perspective of comparative literature. It clarifies the reasons of different women images which are created by male and female writers. Through this essay, people can see the dependence of Emma and the independence of Jane. Also, different women images are created due to different social backgrounds and different life experiences of different authors.
