ABSTRACT
Daphne du Maurier is a famous English novelist in the twentieth century. She has written a lot of works covering a broad field such as short stories, novels and biographies. Rebecca, published in 1938, remains Daphne’s most famous work and has been translated into more than twenty languages. This paper aims at studying the novel Rebecca from the perspective of Ecofeminism. It mainly analyses the male oppression of women and nature, the close relationship between women and nature and harmony between men, women and nature. It enriches and deepens our understanding of the novel and calls attention to the harmonious relationship between man and nature.
