ABSTRACT

 

In the process of language learning, reading is an important source of written language input while writing is an important form of written language output. The language output is based on sufficient language input. With the implement of new curriculum reform, English writing skill has gained more and more attention. However, writing as a reflection of comprehensive English proficiency has been a weakness for many students in the current English teaching situation in China. In order to help solve the problem of middle school students’ English writing ability, the author believes that the majority of middle school English teachers should change their traditional teaching methods and start from the English reading teaching. Combining reading and writing together, helping students to accumulate relevant language material and cultivate writing technics through reading process then improve middle school students’ writing ability.
