Abstract

Repetition was firstly used to examine one’s attention in psychology field and then used to the interpreting training. Due to the further study of second language, repetition has been more and more important. Furthermore, with the development of science and technology and the appearance of smart phones, we can try repetition training at anytime. It is the Repetition Applications that bring oral English learning into our daily life, thus we can have individualized practice and timely feedback.

This study takes MyET as the research object to explore whether it can improve college students’ oral English or not. The results show that students’ oral English was significantly improved after repetition training. Therefore, Repetition Applications have positive influences on college students’ oral English.

According to the research results, Repetition Applications based on automatic speech recognition technology with Computer Assistant Language Learning (CALL) can improve college students’ oral English, especially for the current situation in Chinese colleges.
