Abstract:Film title translation is of great significance. Excellent film title translation not only delivers the essential information of the film, but also meets the aesthetic standard of target language audience. More importantly, wonderful film title translation facilitates the sale of the film in market for commercial profit.

From the perspective of Eco-translatology, this thesis analyses features of English film title first, and then makes a study on E-C translation methods of film title under the principle of Adaptive Transformation from three dimensions, and finally proposes feasible and effective translation methods to make sure that the translated film title is not only loyal to the original but also artistic and commercial to the market so as to achieve the cultural integration between the East and the West.
