摘要:欠发达地区是我国实现全面小康和现代化的薄弱环节，没有欠发达地区的全面小康和现代化，就没有整个国家的全面小康和现代化。而金融是现代经济的核心,是促进经济快速发展有效途经,本文通过研究以欠发达地区的经济发展及金融支持为主线，以指导我国欠发达地区的经济和金融发展为目的，以广东省阳江市为例，分析广东省阳江市发展状况并探讨如何进一步加快欠发达地区金融健康快速发展，如何充分发挥金融在经济发展中的核心作用，如何在地区经济大开发中提供稳定、持续、有效的金融支持，都应当成为各界深入研究的重大课题并亟待解决的现实问题。本文试图在这个方面进行尝试，努力探寻欠发达地区经济发展中金融支持的有效路径。
