摘要：随着时代的进步与发展，当代办公室空间设计的理念也在不断的发生变化，已经从功能设计发展到对“人文精神”的关注。办公空间设计的最大目标就是要为工作人员创造一个舒适、方便、健康、安全、高效的工作环境，以便更大限度地提高员工的工作效率，满足人际活动的发展需要。这一目标已成为现代办公空间设计的基础和核心目标。
当代办公空间的最大特点是公共化，这个空间应照顾到大多数员工的审美需要和功能要求。办公空间设计还应符合“新的工作方式”，不再以某人办公室的大小、景观好坏判断一个人的身份地位。
当代办公室空间理念也越来越趋向风格化、民族化、艺术化，设计中所包含的元素也随着社会的发展而增加。在进行办公空间的室内设计时，首先，要对企业类型和企业文化深入理解，使办公空间设计能反映出该企业风格与特征，这样的设计才具有个性与生命；其次，对企业内部机构设置及其相互联系的要有了解，这样才能确定各部门所需面积设置和规划好人流线路。再次，前瞻性设计也很重要，应该事先了解公司的扩充计划，使得公司不必经常大面积的变更办公空间规划。另外办公空间设计，应尽量利用简洁的建筑手法，避免采用过时的造型，繁琐的细部装饰，和过多过浓的色彩点缀；在规划灯光、空调和选择办公家具时，应充分考虑其适用性和舒适性。
