Abstract:Learning habits and language learning are inseparable. To learn English well not only means to recite the words and understand the meaning, but also needs good learning habits. Good learning habits can provide a pleasing and confident environment for language study. Good learning habits can help to improve learning effect and efficiency by inspiring the motivation and making full use of different learning methods and learning skills. This paper starts from a survey on English major students’ learning habit to discuss the influence of learning habits on language study, mainly focusing on the learning effect and efficiency. Then through further analysis, it points out that for English learners, good learning habits improve the learning effect by influencing two kinds of learning strategies—affective strategies and motivation strategies, and improve the learning efficiency by influencing learning methods, time arrangement and interests. Finally, the thesis concludes the methods and approaches that could be followed on cultivating good learning habits.

摘要：学习习惯与语言学习是分不开的。好的学习习惯能为学习者创造愉悦自信的学习环境，通过激发主动性和充分整合学习方法和技巧来改善学习效果和提高学习效率。本文通过对英语专业学生进行学习习惯方面的问卷调查，从学习效果和学习效率两方面探讨学习习惯对语言学习的影响；进而分析指出，对英语学习者来说，良好的学习习惯可以改善包括情意策略及动机策略在内的学习策略的使用效果，并能从学习方法、时间安排和兴趣等方面提高学习效率；最后总结培养良好学习习惯的方法。
