Abstract:Film is a perfect means of facilitating intercultural communication and understanding. The quality of film title translation plays a key role in ensuring the popularity of the film in a foreign country. Film titles possess some unique characteristics, namely the linguistic, aesthetic, cultural and commercial features. Eco-translatology combines ecology and translation studies perfectly. It focuses on the ecological environment of the translational activities and highlights the accomplishment of the three-dimension transformations. When translating film titles, translators should render a translated version that is both informative and entertaining to achieve the linguistic dimension transformation. Secondly, they should cross the cultural gaps by handling the culture-loaded titles carefully and finding some corresponding expressions conforming to the target culture to fulfill the cultural dimension transformation. Thirdly, the translators should render the translated film titles according to the target audiences’ aesthetic and communicative preferences in order to achieve the communicative dimension transformation.

摘要:电影是促进跨文化沟通和理解的完美手段。片名翻译的质量对确保电影在国外广受欢迎起到关键作用。电影片名具有一些独特的特点,即语言,审美,文化和商业特点。生态翻译学把生态学和翻译学完美地结合起来。它强调翻译活动的生态环境,突出了其中的三维转换。在电影片名翻译中,译者应提供信息丰富的精彩译本来实现语言维的转换。其次,他们应充分考虑文化差异来认真处理有文化内涵的题目并寻找一些符合目标文化的表达方式来实现文化维的转换。第三,译者应根据目标受众的审美和沟通偏好来翻译电影片名以到达交际维的转换。
