ABSTRACT:As the development of the economic, the English communication is becoming important in the world. Most of universities employ the foreign teachers to teach students oral English. The Interactive Teaching Approach is a new approach; it conforms to the “Learning by Doing” principle. Unlike the traditional approach, the Interactive Teaching Approach focuses on the using English in the oral English class. It improves the ability of English communication through the interactive activity of the target language. This paper focuses on the analysis of the foreign teachers’ approach used in the oral English class, and judges that whether it belongs to the Interactive Teaching Approach and analyzes the efforts it has got. In the process of studying, the methods of classroom observation and interview are adopted. Lots of works show that this kind of teaching approach is an effective approach for enhancing the students’ oral English competence and which is the student-centered. And then the author makes some suggestions for application of the Interactive Teaching Approach, and hopes to give some reference to the oral English teaching.

摘要:伴随着经济的发展,英语的实际运用能力日显重要,高校普遍聘请外籍教师教授学生的英语口语。互动教学法作为一种新的教学模式,它遵循“做中学”的原则,把运用语言的基本理念转化为有实践意义的课堂教学方式,通过使用目的语的互动活动来提高学生的口语交际能力。本文旨在探讨外教在口语课堂上所采用的教学方法是否属于互动教学法和运用这种教学法所取得的效果。在研究过程中,本文采用的是课堂观察法和访谈法。通过调查分析表明互动教学法是一种以学生为中心的有效的教学法,能在一定程度上提高学生的口语。作者对互动教学法的实际运用提出一些建议,希望能对口语教学起到一定的参考作用。
