Abstract: Susan Sontag is an active contemporary academic scholar in America. She covers a wide range of fields, including literary and artistic criticism, fiction, philosophy, culture, and so on. Foreign scholars have researched Susan Sontag relatively early and published a lot of papers and monographs. In this paper, on the basis of the previous research and with the background of the times, this paper attempts to analyze Susan Sontag and her masterpiece the Volcano Lover. The Volcano Lover, a historical novel, has its setting in the later half of the eighteenth century. This novel depicts the entanglement among the British ambassador to Naples, his wife and the captain of the British Navy. Especially, this paper will give a general introduction to Camp Style and lay more emphases on the use of Camp Style in the Volcano Lover.

摘要：苏珊·桑塔格是美国当代学界一名活跃的学者，她涉及的领域很广，包括文艺评论、小说、哲学、文化等。国外对桑塔格的研究比较早且出了不少论文和专著。本文在参照前人的研究成果基础之上，并结合作家创作的时代背景，试图分析作家桑塔格和她的巨作—《火山恋人》。《火山恋人》是一部历史题材小说，它以18世纪后半叶的那不勒斯为背景，描写了英国驻那不勒斯大使、大使夫人和英国海军上将的感情纠葛。介绍一下坎普风格并着重分析坎普风格在《火山恋人》中的运用。本文在介绍坎普风格的基础上着重分析其在《火山恋人》中的运用。
