Abstract: With the deepening of global integration, the various exchanges among people are increasing.Cross-cultural communication is a vital part of these various exchanges. It is very beneficial to the understanding and mastery of the causes which result in the success of cross-cultural communications. This article analyse the factors affecting the success of cross-cutural communications. There are five parts in the article:the definition and elements of culture;communication and cross-cultural communication; the specific performance of the conflict in the cross-cultural communication; the analysis of the barriers factors of cross-cultural communication; and the last part is about how to cultivate corss-cultural communication ability and avoid a clash of cultures in English teaching.

摘要：全球一体化已经成为人类历史发展的趋势，因此，人类的各类交流也会日益频繁，在各种交流中跨文化交际是一个重要组成部分，了解和掌握跨文化交际失败的原因对我们进行跨文化交际活动大有裨益。本文分析了影响跨文化交际成功的因素。本文包括五大部分：文化的定义及文化要素；交际与跨文化交际；跨文化交际冲突的具体表现；跨文化交际的障碍因素分析；在英语教学中如何培养跨文化交际能力，避免文化冲突。
