Abstract:Junior students are affected by many factors when they are learning English, such as volition, aptitude, intelligence, motivation, and learning strategy. It is studied that motivation is a very important factor. This thesis refers to the analysis and measures on English learning motivation of students who are from Class Three, Grade Two of No.3 Middle School in Tonghai County. The thesis adopts a questionnaire to know it. It is investigated that there is serious polarization in their English performance. The thesis sets off a discussion on their learning motivation and puts forward some measures intending for stimulating junior students’ English learning motivation. Some measures are not practiced, and its efficiency is not proved, the thesis refers to make some measures help junior English teacher to promote their teaching, and the student’s performance can be improved greatly.

摘要:初中生学习英语的过程中受到很多因素的影响,比如意志,态度,智力,动机以及学习策略。但是许多学者研究表明动机是一个比较重要的因素。这篇论文是关于通海三中初二(3)班学生学习英语动机现状的调查分析,以问卷的形式了解他们的学习动机现状。调查的结果显示在这个班英语成绩存在严重的两极分化现象,本文就此问题对他们的学习动机进行探讨并且针对存在的问题提出了一些对策。有一些对策尚未在实际教学中使用过,所以它们的使用效果尚未界定。在此提出就是希望这些对策能够对初中英语教师有一定的参考价值,从而在实际教学中能提升教师的教学水平,同时以便学生英语成绩得到显著的提高。
