Abstract:Since the feminist movement from the 1960s to 1970s, lots of studies are interested in the differences between male and female speeches. This study focuses on the different styles of male and female speeches in Little Women. Through the analysis of the gender differences in the language, the certain social background in the novel and the characters’ self-reliance spirits are revealed clearly. At the same time, this paper discusses women’s social status based on language characteristics in this novel.

摘 要:自二十世纪六七十年代的女权运动以来，语言的性别差异引起了广泛研究者的兴趣。本篇文章着力于研究《小妇人》中的语言特点与性别的关系，从而鲜明突出这本小说中的女性用语特点。通过对语言性别差异的探讨，小说的特定社会背景及主人公的独立精神得以展现出来。与此同时，这篇文章也将基于这部小说的语言特点来讨论当时美国女性在社会中所处的地位。
