Abstract: This paper aims to deal with Hawthorne’s feminist ideology by analyzing Hester Prynne’s mental activity of rebellious tendencies and her feminist struggles from a perspective of feminism. The paper finally arrives at the conclusion that women should have an independent mind and struggle for the equality between man and woman; women should be regarded as a social subject who should fight for a respectable social role. Woman should have all rights including the right of pursuing love and happiness to protect their interests without engagement from harsh moral standards and religious percepts.

摘要：本文试从女权主义角度通过分析海斯特.白兰带有叛逆倾向的心理活动及其勇敢的女权斗争行为来阐述霍桑的女权主义思想，从而得出一个清晰的结论，女性要有独立的思想,勇敢的站出来反抗当时清教徒统治下的男权社会，争取男女平等，争取女性作为社会主体的平等地位，追求真爱和幸福的一切权利，不受严酷的道德准则和宗教戒律束缚，勇敢维护妇女自己的权益。
