Abstract：This thesis mainly analyzes the protagonist----Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye so as to interpret his life crisis, his thinking as well as the process of growth of the protagonist Holden Caulfield. It falls into five parts, which aim to discuss about the process of Holden’s mental growth, unveil the reasons of Holden’s antipathetic behavior and mentality, and present readers the realistic significance and appeal for adults’ timely and correctly guidance and concerns on the initiation journey of typical troubled adolescent.

摘要：本文着重分析了小说《麦田里的守望者》中主人公霍尔顿考尔菲德的成长历程，旨在深入剖析主人公的人生危机和人生成长历程。文章共包括五大部分，探究霍尔顿考尔菲德的心理成长历程；解密霍尔顿考尔菲德的叛逆心理和行为；提示广大读者其现实意义并大声疾呼成年人一定要对问题青少年在他们刚踏入人生道路时给予及时正确的指导和关心。
