Abstract: In translation between English Chinese, we should properly shift our thinking mode because of the differences of the two languages. The paper is to discuss about reverse translation on the basis of contrary thinking .This paper shows us how reverse translation is applied in Chinese-English idioms translation, business correspondence translation and laws translation. The paper illustrates examples of negation and affirmation in translation while analyzing the cause of forming the contrary thinking. It holds that translators can make the translation smooth and fluent by transferring the thinking pattern in translation.

摘要：在英汉互译过程中，由于中英两种语言之间差异，有时我们必须适时转换思维。本文在反向思维基础上探讨了反译法在翻译中的运用。在分析形成反向思维原因的同时，本文也阐述了反译法在中英习语，外贸函电和法律翻译中的体现。同时本文也分别举例探讨正说反译、反说正译方法的使用。本文指出，译者在翻译时通过转变思维模式，可使译文保持流畅通顺，从而不断提高翻译质量。
