Abstract: The C-E translation of political documents is the main avenue to external publicity. After studying the characteristics of translating political materials and analyzing the examples of the Report at the 17th National Congress of the CPC，this paper pays focus on the way of translating identical phrases in the English version of the report and talks about the reasons why we translate some political phrases in the unifying way, and why we translate some identical phrases in different ways.

摘要：政治文献是对外宣传的重要途径。本文以十七大报告为基础。通过对政治文献翻译特点的研究以及对十七大报告英译版中具体事例的分析，阐述对于相同词汇采取的不同翻译方法。本文将其分为两部分：一，对于一些政治词汇，在报告中都采用统一形式翻译的原因。二，在报告中，对于一些相同的词汇又采用不同翻译法的原因。
