Abstract:English, as our second language, is very important for us. However, our English proficiency is not always as perfect as we expected, especially in some rural areas. Min Zu Middle School in Jingdong is one of the rural schools in Yunnan Province. The students in this school get their English input only by the teacher because of lacking of advanced teaching equipments and necessary language learning environment. In the English learning process, most students are good at taking test rather than speaking. They do not know how to express themselves in English. This paper aims at finding out the ways and disadvantages of English input in this rural school, and put forward some teaching implications.

摘要:英语,作为我们的第二语言,它的重要性是不容忽视的。但是,一直以来,我们的英语学习并不理想,尤其是在少数民族地区的乡村中学。景东民族中学就是一所少数民族地区的乡村中学,由于缺乏先进的教学设备和必需的语言学习环境,这里的学生只能仅仅依靠老师来获得英语的输入。在英语的学习过程中,许多同学会考试却不会说英语,他们不知道如何用英语表达自己。这篇调查在于找出他们英语输入的主要方法以及存在的不足之处,从而提出几点教学启示来促进英语教学。
