ABSTRACT：William Wordsworth(1770－1850) and Tao Yuan-Ming(356－427) are two of the most outstanding pastoral poets in English and Chinese literary histories. They have different thoughts and viewpoints on nature, but they all have the same love for nature and the feeling of great reverence for nature. Most of their natural poems express their discontents of the reality and the yearning for a free, harmonious and tranquil natural life. This paper aims to give a comparative analysis of the viewpoints on nature in William Wordsworth’s Tintern Abbey and Tao Yuan-Ming’s Back to Country Life. It presents the similarities and differences of the natural themes and the embodiments of viewpoints on nature in their poems, from the two aspects it offers a better perspective to understand the two poets’ viewpoints on nature and their natural poems.

中文摘要：华兹华斯（1770－1850）和陶渊明（356－427）是两位在英国和中国文学史上最为杰出的田园诗人，他们的大量诗作都是直接反映自然主题的，都表达了诗人对自然的热爱与崇敬之情。虽然他们生活在不同的时代，不同的国度，而且都有各自不同的文化思维方式，还有不同的自然观，但他们对自然却有着相同的热爱和崇敬之情。更为重要的是，他们都表现出对现实生活的不满和对自由无羁、和谐宁静的自然生活的向往与追求。因此本文就华兹华斯的《丁登寺》和陶渊明的《归园田居》中的自然观进行对比分析。在内容上，本文将从两诗中的自然主题和自然观的体现两个方面对他们的自然观进行阐述与比较分析，以求对两位诗人的自然观和他们的自然诗有一个更好的理解。
