Abstract:To understand some of culture, we must have to learn from food, clothing, housing, transportation to fully understand the culture of a region or a country, the diet is one aspect of our lives, starting from the important perspective to study food culture, which can help us a more direct understanding of the culinary culture of the West, even can grasp and understand the entire Western culture. From another aspect, we are living in the east countries and proud of long-historic motherland traditional food culture. However, we also have a curious for exotic food culture of other countries. Whether there exist differences on dietetic culture, what’s the differences, why there are these differences, the studying of these differences can help us stimulate interests in learning a foreign language, strengthen the exchange of Chinese and Western to be a better understanding of Western culture and Westerners, and seize the characteristics and differences of both the Chinese and Western food culture so as to be a more profound understanding of the Western culture, which stimulates our researching motions. This topic will be presented by contrast, cited demonstration of the differences between Chinese and Western food culture, especially on the inherent causality cause of these differences to make the study of all aspects of multi-angle, deep-seated for more context clear, structured to reach a deep understanding of Chinese and Western cultures and promote the common prosperity of the Chinese and Western cultures.
