Abstract:This paper aims to make a comparative study of two heroines’ values between Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice. The first part includes a brief introduction to the background of two authors, their literary positions and their outstanding works. Furthermore, this paper elaborates on the similarities and differences of two heroines’ values between the two works. Then the paper concludes that two heroines’ different social and family backgrounds and personalities make their values different from each other.
