Abstract:With the development of globalization, the activities of international communication are also frequent. The phenomena of culture shock in intercultural communication arouse people’s concern and research. When communicative objects come into a new field of culture during the process of Intercultural communication, the culture shock must be experienced by them. Culture shock is a kind of anxiety and inadaptation produced by different values, cultural stereotype and ethnocentrism. This thesis analyzes the process and stages of culture shock and to find the causes and effect of culture shock, the purpose of that is to give guiding suggestions to deal with culture shock, meanwhile, it can help communicator to adapt different cultural environment and make a successful intercultural communication.
