Abstract
In this paper, the thesis aims to emphasize the importance of affective factors. A complete statement will be made to analyze the reason that why the affective factors seems so important in learner’s second language acquisition by referring to some psychology principles and theories, and point out the relationship between the affective factors and English teaching.
And a comprehensive statement will be made to explain the each goal in New Standard Curriculum in China. In order to have a better understanding of the real situation in junior high school, a questionnaire will be made respectively to students and English teachers. It mainly discusses about two questions: (1). What’s the students’ general attitudes of English class they have? (2). How do teachers implement affective teaching in English classes? In order to get a more clear understanding about question two, two tasks will be done for teachers, a questionnaire to research the teachers’ attitudes and some actual cases to analyze teachers’ real implementation. In this part, observation method and comparison method will be used.
After data collecting and discussing, some advisable suggestions will be made in the next section.
