Abstract

 

As we all know, the main task for English majors is to learn the related professional English courses and complete the corresponding English tests. For college students, it is necessary to popularize the concept of autonomous learning and lifelong learning. In addition to the basic concept and the necessity of autonomous learning , the paper also points out the current education problems and the researches conducted on autonomous learning at home and abroad , the purpose of which is to promote the progress and development of researches in this field in our country by absorbing the quintessence of others’. The thesis mainly discusses the methods of promoting students' autonomous learning strategies in curriculum design, from the aspects of teachers, curriculum and learners. Nowadays, human beings are in an information age where the online learning strategies should also be more concerned by the educators.
