Abstract
This dissertation is based on the background and content of a British novel Pride and Prejudice, combined with a variety of relevant analysis to analyze one of the important themes: marriage. Conveyed by the author, this dissertation is going to base the discussion on figures characters, which can reveal the conservative life in British country, relationship between different social statuses as well as the way of the world under such relationship from the late eighteenth century to the early nineteenth century.
