Abstract

 

It is showed that the situational teaching way is of benefit to the pupil’s learning incentive and desire rather than other ways by psychologists. Thus, the importance of situational approach cannot be ignored. Due to the lack of real English language environment for Chinese students, it is important for people to create an environment for learning English. So far, there are few schools who use the method of Situational Language Teaching, and English teachers only teach students to learn words and simple grammar traditionally. Therefore, teachers could not arouse the interest of students at all. As for the studies both in abroad and at home, the overseas paid attention to the exploring of the method of Situational Teaching and responsibilities of teachers; while we Chinese paid attention to the application of Situational Teaching Method in school. This study discusses the current situation of the Situational Teaching Method realistic employments in pupils’ English class, and the dissertation attempts to elaborate the issues and invent the solutions, which are able to assist the teachers better to create and imitate the circumstances for primary students.
