Abstract
Pride and Prejudice is the excellent work of Austen, in this novel the four marriages thoughtfully state the situation of love and marriage in the society at Austen’s time. Through the description, I explain the different marriages, I find that the novel fully embodies the author's love and marriage view. This dissertation is aim to explain the love and marriage in Pride and Prejudice. The result is the relationship between love, property and social status is relevant, but love and marriage can not depend on the property and social status, the right marriage should be based on mutual love and mutual respect on the basis of. She is not only opposed to marriage for money, but also against marring without hesitation, she holds on the emotional factors play a very important role in marriage.
