Abstract
With the rapid development of economic globalization, financial news translation has become increasingly important. This thesis focuses on the translation of English financial news headlines, for news headline is the key to attracting readers and guiding them to acquire the main idea of the news. The thesis, taking British Financial Times Bilingual news headlines as examples, Skopos Theory as guidance, discusses the characteristics of English financial news headlines from the aspects of vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric, and explores the concrete translation strategies from the perspective of Skopos Theory such as adaptation, addition, order adjustment etc, hoping to help translators improve their ability of financial news headlines translation.
