Abstract
In the recently years, International commercial activities are becoming more frequently and commercial communication has come to a new developing stage. In diversified commercial activities, business English correspondence is becoming more and more important. Business parties should be cooperative so as to increase mutual communication and trust and finally achieve their goals.
This paper discusses cooperative principle to reach trade promotion from the perspective of cooperative principle, then summed up the linguistic features of business English correspondence and the language translation skills by analyzing examples, closely by the characteristics of cooperative principle consisted with the quantity maxim, quality maxim, relation maxim and so on. Which at the same time, through the translation method, finally draw the conclusion of how to apply cooperative principle to business English correspondence. Therefore, complete the interpretation of business English correspondence accurately and promote the trade development effectively.
