Abstract: Education, as an indispensable basis of economic and scientific development, has been an inexhaustible source for the evolution of man and the whole society. As the most fundamental education and the one lasts for the longest time through one’s life, family education holds an essential place in personal development or even social progress. Due to the diversity of family life, however, family education differs in different families, regions, and countries. This paper will give a comparative study on family education between UK and China from some certain respects such as the goals set for the education, the means employed in the education, etc., and obtain some useful skills for family education so as to further the study of family education and improve the development of education in China.
