Abstract: The Da Vinci Code is a famous detective suspense novel written by Dan Brown. It describes Harvard professor Robert Langdon working with Sophie Neveu to figure out some strange symbols and passwords, and find a series of clues hidden in Leonardo da Vinci’s art works. The paper intends to interpret The Da Vinci Code from a feminist perspective, and analyzes the rise of women’s status from the subversion of the dualism, religious theology and male chauvinism to the reconstruction of women’s status and revival of feminism. This paper aims to develop a new angle of view so as to better interpret and appreciate this novel.
