Abstract: With the deepening of globalization, the occurrence of any financial events may affect our lives, and the development of communication so that these financial events can be quickly understood by us. Through comparing the news on three financial issues from the mainstream media in China and the United States,such as The Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, The New York Times,and the Wall Street Journal, this paper analyzes the differences in terms of words, key of reports and reporting style, as well as the difference of values between China and the United States with the value orientation theory.
