Abstract
This thesis which is based on the studies of Cooperative Learning method in English writing integrated many theories of Cooperative Learning to analyze the present situation and characteristics of English writing in junior middle school. And the author carried out a teaching experiment in two classes which are called experimental class and control class. The control class used the traditional teaching mode of writing to teach, on the contrary, the experimental class used Cooperative Learning mode in writing teaching. After five months of experimental teaching, the relevant data were analyzed, which showed that the experimental class performed much better than the control class in the writing. The Cooperative Learning teaching mode can improve the students’ interest in writing and promote the development of autonomous learning ability. So this study has a certain theoretical and practical significance to the teaching of English writing.
