Abstract: Business English contract has the features of formal and normative language, accurate and precise wording, which is directly related to the economic interests of both sides of the contract, so the translation of business English contracts needs to be accurate, precise and complete. This paper will take lexical features as a breakthrough point, by analysing the abbreviations, archaic words, jargon, written language, modal verbs, synonyms and similar words, words about time and money, draw a conclusion that naturalization could be used when translating the business English contracts, and that the translators, in conjunction with the translation context, may determine the exact meaning of the polysemy, paraphrase long sentences, simplify the language, and make sure of the conciseness, correctness, and formality of the translation of business English contracts.
