Abstract: In recent years, Cooperative Learning has been widely studied and applied, but the  application of Cooperative Learning still needs to be further improved in oral English teaching of junior high school. This thesis points out the problems existing in traditional oral English teaching, expounds the definition and characteristics of Cooperative Learning, and explores the concrete application of cooperative group activities in leading-in, practice and revision. At last, it points out the significance and suggestions of the application. This study will help to change the disadvantages of the traditional oral teaching, to activate the students' learning mood, and improve students' interest in spoken English, It also helps teachers to effectively organize the oral English classroom teaching, to highlight the teaching focus, and cultivate students' cooperative consciousness and communicative competence. Therefore, it will improve the efficiency and quality of oral English teaching in junior high school.
