Abstract: Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) is an important English modernist writer in twentieth century, and she is the main representative of western feminist pioneer. Using Woolf’s masterpiece A Room of One’s Own as the text, this paper aims to introduce briefly about Woolf and A Room of One’s Own, then to analyze her feminist views---- the awareness of female’s value and economic independence, the establishment of independent living space, as well as her theory of androgyny, thus to enable the readers to understand and remark this novel, to explore new ideas of feminist criticism, and also to enrich the whole research on Virginia Woolf.
