Abstract: Net-Chinglish is a spontaneous or creative language which is widespread on the Internet based on meeting the aspirations of the individual communication. This paper collects information about the Net-Chinglish, and analyzes the linguistic features and causes of it. Net-Chinglish is a kind of English where core of thinking pattern is Chinese and that owns distinctive characteristics. The language features of the Net-Chinglish can be found in vocabulary and rhetorical devices. The vocabulary has features of composition, self-creation, and literal meaning. Rhetorical devices can be divided into metaphor and personification. Meanwhile, the cultural differences between western and Chinese countries, the thinking pattern, and memetics are the major reasons for the formation of its language features. The Net-Chinglish has both positive and negative influences.
