Abstract: TED as the world's largest lecture organization, its success can not be separated from the speaker's personal qualities, superb presentation skills and professional speech content. Of course, the calm and graceful manner is also essential. Appropriate use of body language can help verbal communication and polish the lecture a lot. Therefore, this paper will focus on the use of the body language of TED speakers, from the aspects of eye contact, gestures, body movement, facial expression to analyze and interspersed with the corresponding picture to demonstrate, and finally sum up the characteristics of speaker’s body language and confirm its effect. The study found that TED speakers use many representative body languages which play an important role in the speech. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to enlighten college students to learn from TED speeches, by fully applying the body language to auxiliary verbal communication which will enforce the effect of speech.
