ABSTRACT
In recent years, frequent cases of child sexual abuse have exposed the lack of children’s sexual education and children’s legal imperfections in China. Early childhood education has become a popular topic for many parents and teachers. By analyzing the current status of children’s sex education, the author concludes that children’s sex education hasn’t got enough attention and the current situation is not optimistic. The age between 3 and 12 is an important period of child sex education, the family is an important source and place for children who are in this stage to accept sexual education. Parents as an enlightenment of sex education, bears an important responsibility.
This paper explores the unique value and charm of children’s sexual education picture books. Through the family investigation, it is pointed out that the children’s sex education picture book plays an extremely important role in family sexual education. The emergence of children’s sexual picture book provides a suitable reading material for children’s early sexual education. Applying children’s sexual picture books to children’s sexual education not only can avoid the sense of embarrassment of parents in the process of family sexual education, but also can carry out sexual education for children scientifically and systematically.
