Abstract
When we fight against with our nature, existentialism assumes that we are the best. Though human beings know perfect is unable to realize, they are impassion in fighting with human development.
The only method for survival is to break religious rules, existential firmly believe that there is no god, they need to be the hero of themselves instead of begging for the support of system, religious, society or god. This theory is specially fit to the mess war society that time.
In Gone with the Wind, it describes two totally different characters, whose representative is Scarlett and Melanie. Decisive, firm character makes Scarlett very endeavor life, and Melanie, the tolerant and toughness character bring her hardworking life, but the same point is their emotion on love, responsibility, life etc., which bring Heroines’Awakening Sense.
The name of the novel is Gone with the Wind, which is the reflection of lift habit in the south of America, Lift in Gone with the Wind can also be understood as the original female cowardice, timid, love vanity dependent personality.This thesis analysis the two heroines, aiming at disclosing the awakening of female consciousness in the society at that time.
