Abstract
There are a lot of cultural differences between China and America. The difference in legal culture is one of them. The TV series Little Daddy reflects differences in legal culture between China and America. After watching TV series Little Daddy, many people have been moved by the deep love among three generations of Yu guo. By the end of the story, Yu guo won a custody after fighting with Taylor. This case provokes people’s thinking of Chinese and American cultural differences. There is a big difference in Chinese and American legal concept , the relevant legal provisions of child abuse and jury system. Influenced by respective cultures, Chinese and American legal culture has its own characteristics.
This thesis can be divided into four parts. Chapter One is an introduction, which mainly introduces the background, the purpose and significance of this study, as well as the organization of the thesis. Chapter Two is literature review, which covers some basic concepts and the overview of the previous studies. Chapter Three is the main body of this thesis, which analyzes the legal cultural differences between China and America, especially in legal concept, jury system and child abuse. The last chapter is a conclusion, including the conclusion of the research and limitations of the research.
