Abstract
Clothing is indispensable in people’s daily life since ancient times. And clothing advertisements exert a peculiar fascination on a great many people, which has a great impact on clothing industry development. As a weapon of improving the brand popularity and promoting sales, clothing advertisement has undoubtedly received the attention of numerous clothing businessmen. English clothing advertisement has gradually formed its own stylistic features in its process of continuous development. Based on the previous researches, this thesis mainly analyzes the stylistic features of English clothing advertisement by means of example analysis from the perspective of linguistics. The purpose of this thesis is to offer designers helpful academic knowledge which is enlightening for them to better understand and employ the language of English clothing advertisement in the job.
