Abstract:Since the "Cultural Turn" of translation studies in the 1970s, both the position of translated literature in the culture of target language and the position of translator in intercultural communication have been greatly improved, and researchers have begun to pay more attention to the study of translator's style.
From the perspective of the translator's subjectivity, this thesis makes a comparison between two Chinese versions of the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, to analyze the differences in translation style between two translators from four levels, i.e. word choice, syntactic pattern, rhetoric devices and discourse structure. In the meantime, factors influencing the translator's translation style are also explored with concrete examples in the thesis.
