Abstract:Many plots describing the scenes of destruction in Japanese cartoons are closely connected with the country’s geography, history and culture. That is to say, the specific geographic conditions contribute to their distinguishable historic characteristics of their nation, and accordingly, such a culture shapes the cartoon industry into one which is deeply impressed by Japanese qualities.
Coincidentally, at the initial period of its development, the cartoon come across wars. The negative impacts the wars had on it and the contemplation over humanity, extermination and politics are profoundly involved in Japanese cartoons, which efficiently convey Japanese favourite arts. Thus, no wonder Japanese cartoons focus most of their attention on the topic of extinction and rescue, and they have made great achievements. In particular, the geography, history and culture endow Japanese cartoons with special meanings. It cann’t be denied that cartoons are nourished in the reality. Only when cartoons come from the reality and go beyond the reality, can they get themselves fully developed. Therefore, Chinese cartoons are supposed to adjust their directions in accordance with their realistic characters. As far as I am concerned, to follow and imitate others’ pace blindedly, is not an ideal choice that will make significant progress and long-lasting development.
