摘要:王小波是一个具有鲜明读者意识的作家，他能秉着爱护读者、对读者负责的态度，准确把握读者的阅读期待，从读者的阅读需求和审美趣味出发来进行写作。在小说创作方面，王小波的读者意识表现为人物形象有趣、叙事方法古今杂糅、语言幽默生动，以及叙述视角的巧妙得体。在杂文写作方面，其读者意识表现为文章内容的趣味性、批判性，语言的夸张生动，以及王小波一贯秉承的独立自由的精神。独特的读者意识使王小波的作品拥有了广泛的读者，也为我们进行理论研究提供了可借鉴的文学资源。
