Abstract：Zhang Xianliang, in his novels Lv Huashu and Half Man is Woman, showed us that Zhang Yonglin as an individual survived his life and pursued the sexual instinct truly, under the circumstance that the survival instinct and the sexual instinct being repressed. In this process, it showed us his approval of primitive vitality and the esthetic implication of pursuing transcendence frankly.
