摘要:巴渝神话植根在巴渝文化的土壤之中，独具巴渝地区的“巫鬼”特色。道教起源于鬼神崇拜、神仙之说与方术、黄老学说三种原始宗教意识，它以长生不死观念为核心内容。道教在传播和发展的过程中不断利用和改造巴渝地区的神话内容，使巴渝神话得以道教化，成为道教内容的一部分。巴渝神话的道教化表现在：事鬼神、治病消灾，消解人生在世的病痛；寻找长生不死之药或以丹砂等炼制长生不死之药，寻求肉体的长生不死；寻找凡人飞升成仙的福地，构建人死之后灵魂不灭的鬼国神都。巴渝神话的道教化，不但保存和传播了巴渝神话，发展和完善了道教的长生不死观念和神谱体系，巩固了神仙思想在人们中的地位，而且促进了巴渝神话和道教的共同发展。
