摘要：陶渊明诗歌中的鸟意象，是其自我精神的写照，负载着作者的孤独与寂寞，反映了作者对自然真意的追求和回归田园的人生意趣，更集中体现了陶渊明生命与精神的永恒追求。另外，不同类型的鸟意象又负载着他不同时期的人生历程和理想追求。

诗的意象具有强烈的个性色彩，寄托着诗人的情感，体现诗人的人格和精神追求。陶渊明现存的一百二十多首诗中就有三十多首描写鸟意象的。鸟意象几乎贯穿了诗歌创作的各个阶段，也表现了他不同时期的追求。“飞鸟相与还”，“羁鸟恋旧林”，“归鸟趋林鸣”等。这些形象特别、意味别样的鸟意象不就是陶渊明一生的写照吗？飞鸟意象寄托了远大的理想和对功业的追求；羁鸟意象糅和着陶渊明出仕的慨叹和苦闷彷徨；归鸟意象寄托着他归园田居生活的淡泊和恬静。从飞鸟到羁鸟再到归鸟，揭示了陶渊明一生从猛志出仕到官场困惑再到归园田居的生命历程。
